Modifying a user
Although Add User facility sets up the basic attributes for a new user, you should also configure the detailed attributes for each existing user. After you save your changes, AC sends the user settings to FS for provisioning.
To modify a user:
1)
2)
Use the Display Users option or the Search for Users option to view the list of users.
3)
4)
Note You can change the Login ID provided the user is not provisioned for IFS. For more information, see Renaming a user.
Select or clear the Enable or disable user account check box.
Select or clear the Enable presence support check box.
5)
The read-only Login Count and Invalid Login Count fields show logged details for the account. If the Invalid Login Count reaches the limit specified for the domain, Presentation Server locks the user’s account.
Note Unlocking the account does not take effect until the form is saved.
6)
For the Language, Country, and Time Zone fields, click Choose. A separate window prompts you to select a value.
Select the value you want in the list and click OK. The window closes returning you to the General page.
(Optional) In the Variant field enter any variation in the language as required (for example, regional dialects). Variants are used when the same language has variations based on the country or region.Variants usually specify differences caused by the computing platform. For example, if your company is in Ireland and you want to set a variant for the Irish dialect to specify that the Euro is the currency, you would type EURO in the variant field.
In the SIP Address field, edit the SIP address.
Date Format—The format for displaying dates.
Week Start—The first day of the week in the calendar.
Day Start/End—The first and last hours of each day.
The Administrative Assistants section lists the names of users that have been given administrative access to the current user’s account. The value appears as <user>@<domain>. As well, this section lists any users for which the current user has been given administrative assistant access. These values are read-only and are assigned by the users through the General Preferences user interface.
7)
Click Save Changes.
