1) Click the MS tab. Select (or clear) the Domain Mail Settings check box to enable (or disable) this service for the domain.
• MS Hosts—The host machines on which the service is running. You cannot remove or modify the names in the list, though you can add extra hosts on a distributed domain by clicking Add Hosts.
• Distributed Domain—Select the check box to make the existing domain into a distributed domain.Note We do not recommend converting a local to domain into a distributed domain without the assistance of Technical Support.
• Base Quota (KB)—The default disk quota (in KB) for each user in the domain. Modifying this value changes the quota for all users in the domain.
• Quota Warning (%)—The default percentage threshold (of a user’s total disk quota) for triggering a disk quota warning. If set to zero, there is no warning threshold.
• Max Message Size— Sets a maximum messages size for messages (in bytes) that can be delivered on this domain.
• Max Message Age (days)—The number of days after which mail deliveries are deleted from users’ mailboxes. If set to zero, there is no maximum age restriction on the domain.
• Connection Timeout (Secs)—The time in seconds allowed for a creation of an SMTP connection. This attribute applies to both mail and SMS messages. The default is 30 seconds.
• Communication Timeout (Secs)—The time in seconds allowed for communication with an SMTP server. This attribute applies to both mail and SMS messages. The default is 30 seconds.
• SMTP Host—The SMTP mail service for PS. It is not configurable.
• Standard Folders—A list of standard IMAP folder names that should exist for all users in the domain. If such a folder is missing when a user logs in to the message store, the folder is automatically created. The default is “Inbox”.
3) Select any of the following Domain Options to enable them:
• Use a non-default javascript file—The default javascript file is phif.js.
• Virus scan outgoing mail—Available only if Brightmail or Sophos support is enabled.
• Enable spam filter on outgoing mail—Checks sent messages for spam. Available only if Brightmail or Sophos support is enabled.
4) Select any of the following Default User Options to enable them:
• Access Log—Enables message store logging for users.
• Enable MS Webmail—Enables HTTP mail access
• Enable spam filter on incoming mail—Refuses suspected spam messages. Available only if Brightmail or Sophos support is enabled.
• File incoming spam in the gray mail folder—Available only if Brightmail or Sophos support is enabled.
• Tag spam with X-header—Tags suspected spam messages with a configurable X-header, as set by the SpamTagHeader setting in MS Available only if Brightmail or Sophos support is enabled.
• Enable spam filter on outgoing mail—Checks sent messages for spam. Available only if Brightmail or Sophos support is enabled.
• Virus scan incoming mail—Removes suspected viruses from messages. Available only if Brightmail or Sophos support is enabled.
• Virus scan outgoing mail—Available only if Brightmail or Sophos support is enabled.
• Restrict sending to recipients in this domain—Restricts users to sending messages only to recipients in the same domain.
• Restrict sending to recipients on this server—Restricts users to sending messages only to recipients in domains hosted by the local server (including distributed domains).
5) Configure the following Web Access Settings as required:
• Authentication—Enables SMTP authentication. If checked, the credentials of all incoming and outgoing SMTP email messages are checked. If clear, only incoming messages are checked.
6) In the Brightmail plug-in options section, set the Brightmail service options as required:
b) To turn a service on or off for users, set the Activate option to On or Off. If a user interface (not supplied) has been implemented for users to activate the service themselves, the setting for this service option is the default user setting.
7) In the Personal Address Book Allow List section, set the options as required:

b) To turn the allow list feature on or off for users, set the Activate allow list option to On or Off. If a user interface (not supplied) has been implemented for users to activate the service themselves, the setting for this feature is the default user setting.

d) To append text to the subject field of messages from unknown senders, set Tag subject in message to On.
e) To send messages from unknown senders to the graymail folder, set File message in graymail folder to On.
f) To specify text to add to the header of messages from unknown senders, type the text in the Add header to message field.
8) (Optional) In the Miscellaneous Defaults section, configure a path prefix. The path prefix is the domain prefix added to the default path value. With AC, the path prefix is automatically added to the user’s path followed by the user’s name when adding a user to the domain.Note If you add path prefixes through FS, the prefix is not automatically added to the user’s path, but must be added manually.You can set prefixes automatically by editing the ect/FS.xml file. Uncomment the following line:Prefixes will then be automatically added based on the content of the PathTemplate.xml file during when you add a domain.
9) Click Save Changes.
