Adding domains
Use the Add Domain facility to set up the basic connection details for a domain.
Note If you specify more than one mail host, a distributed domain is created. If you specify only one mail host, the domain is local.
To add a domain:
1)
Click Add Domain.
A separate window opens.
2)
Enter the name of the domain in the Name field. A name must have a domain extension, such as .com, .net, .org. (for example, company.com).
3)
a)
b)
Select a host from the Available list and click the >> button.
The name moves to the Selected list.
c)
For Messaging Server, select the Distributed Domain check box to create a distributed domain and select the SMTP Host providing the SMTP mail service for PS.
d)
If you are setting up a distributed domain, you must supply a domain prefix for each IFS host provisioned on a domain. Setting this attribute allows you to see distinctly which domain the user belongs to in the case of multiple domains.
Use the following syntax to add the prefix:
   <host>#<prefix>
where <host> is the host name and <prefix> is the prefix you want to assign.
4)
Configure the Web Access Settings for this domain.
a)
In the HTTP Port field, enter the port you want the domain to use for standard connections.
b)
In the SSL Port field, enter the port for secure connections.
5)
AC sends the setting to Fulfillment Server (FS) for provisioning. If the request is successful, the domain is added to the list of domains and the Modify window opens in the main window. You can set specific attributes for the domain.
